ABB Ability Platform

The Electromobility.ONE catalogue contains solutions based on the ABB Ability platform, with a long-standing experience in connecting car chargers to the Internet. They offer the possibility of remote monitoring and configuration, covering all EV charging points. It is particularly important in the case of paid charging stations, as it allows to create an appropriate business and pricing model for your company or other form of activity. Remote controlling also provides invaluable support to all drivers using charging stations, maintenance of equipment with minimum operational contribution, as well as current servicing made possible thanks to regular software updates.

The greatest asset of ABB communication services is the fact that they operate in a cloud – among biggest advantages of that solution are scalability and flexibility, reduction of investments in IT infrastructure, top-of-the-class maintenance and support, as well as long operating time and reliability of communication services.

The offer of ABB Ability servicing consists of four main elements – Charger Connect, Integration services, Internet tools, and Servicing agreements. It is also possible to provide integration services allowing to adjust chargers to your management system – Open Charge Point Protocol (OCCP) API, Service API and Demand Response API. Moreover, thanks to complex Internet tools, it is possible to manage chargers at EV charging points in real time, from a standard Internet browser. Driver Care allows for monitoring and reporting on the status of the chargers, whereas Charger Care is an advanced maintenance app allowing for remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and carrying out repairs. The Payment Management tool allows you to manage payments by configuring them in chargers equipped with payment terminals.

EVBox charging management

Electromobility.ONE also offers smart software for EVBox management, characterized by intuitive operation based on a user-friendly interface and precise data measurement. It allows for continuous monitoring, management and optimizing of the EV charging process, regardless of our location. In that way, we gain constant access to our stations’ data equipped with EV charging points, ability to update the software automatically and remotely, as well as access to a 24/7 support. Thanks to the smart static charging, Electromobility.ONE makes sure every vehicle is charged in an optimal way – the ‘Hub – Satellites’ configuration allows to group multiple charging points and manage them in a given location, reduce connection fees and distribute power correctly. It is also possible to create charging profiles and schedules as well as configure an automatic station activation. The system also allows for an easy and fully automated invoicing process, helping you with cost accounting and income generating. The system also allows to set charging fees, manage accounts and charging cost reimbursements, make automatic returns and collect data concerning all transactions.

Electromobility.ONE has charging stations’ access settings at its disposal; it may also make information on those stations available on the Internet, allowing drivers to find a specific EV charging point using various apps.

The app allows to add any number of users and grant them access to chargers. All up-to-date and archived data on charging sessions and customer behaviors at a particular station (e.g. duration of the last charging session, number of kWh used), location, and time. It is also possible to monitor active charging sessions and draw up detailed reports in PDF and CSV formats. A dedicated app for drivers is available on iOS and Android, permitting to start and stop the charging process, as well as a PC app. You may also view statuses of charging stations, exploitation and payment histories, review automatic reimbursements for charging sessions and initiation of the charging process using a credit card. Thanks to all those advantages, the Electromobility.ONE solution fully supports EV charging stations located in places such as commercial parking lots, workplaces, retail stores, hotels and restaurants, car fleets, and transport companies.
